"The Handy™" Handheld Digitizer

The Handy combines a sophisticated digital camera and the proprietary EOIS Moire Interferometry technology to create a totally wireless 3D digitizer. It is the only high-speed 3D digitizer that can capture data without being connected to a computer. The images are stored in a sophisticated digital camera, and later sent to a computer for final processing.

Notes:

  1. X,Y resolution is determined by the number of pixels in the camera. One XYZ data point is calculated for each pixel of the camera.
  2. Z resolution is essentially the same as the total XYZ accuracy of the sensor. It is defined as the 3-sigma error between measured and nominal XYZ coordinates, over the full range of the sensor. It is calculated by measuring marked precision plates at several positions over the range of the sensor.
  3. Capture speed indicates maximum sustained capture speed for multiple images. A single image can be captured in less than one second (>1Mpix/sec).
  4. Processing speed does not include operator interaction time. Processing speed given for typical EOIS supplied computer (PII/400Mhz).
  5. Battery life is 20 minutes (rechargeable).
