Mini-Moiré™ Digitizer for Custom Applications

Features

  • Simple setup: mount one sensor for each perspective required
  • Fast capture, no motion required
  • Automatic operation
  • High-speed, high-density digitizing
  • Optical non-contact ideal for live subjects

The Mini-Moiré sensor is ideal for custom applications, where a particular subject must be scanned very quickly. Since the sensors are inexpensive, multiple sensors can be mounted around the subject in fixed locations. The entire subject can be captured in just a few seconds, since the Mini-Moiré sensor capture time is so fast, and no scanning motion is required.

Notes:

  1. X,Y resolution is determined by the number of pixels in the camera. One XYZ data point is calculated for each pixel of the camera.
  2. Z resolution is essentially the same as the total XYZ accuracy of the sensor. It is defined as the 3-sigma error between measured and nominal XYZ coordinates, over the full range of the sensor. It is calculated by measuring marked precision plates at several positions over the range of the sensor.
  3. Capture speed indicates maximum sustained capture speed for multiple images.
  4. Processing performed in parallel with capture, so capture can continue at maximum speed. Processing speed given for typical EOIS supplied computer (PII/400Mhz).
  5. System accuracy depends on the mounting and alignment technique..
